This Holiday, Be Selfishly Grateful | The Tailored Quill, Episode 15
GRATITUDE: one of the favorite words in the personal development world and the holiday season.
It’s everywhere: on mugs, sweaters, wreaths, wall decor, and of course everybody’s social media.
There has been a rising criticism about gratitude this year though because we are all so angsty still about, I dunno, ALL OF 2020, that people are getting reamed out for sharing what they are grateful for.
I get it that a lot of it can be just plain trendy and maybe sometimes for the likes, but GRATITUDE CAN STILL BE HELPFUL FOR YOUR MENTAL HEALTH.
But I am not going to hop on the trendy train today.
Since gratitude is so often focused on others or things or relationships, I’m going to take a train in a different direction and ask you to BE INCREDIBLY SELFISH.
Ask yourself: WHAT ABOUT YOURSELF ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR?
What in your personality, your skills, your sociability are you thankful for this year?
Turn it in to a non-arrogant self-celebration.
I talk more about HOW TO DO THIS and the BENEFITS OF THIS in my new video this week.
